Shriram SEPL Composites Pvt. Ltd (SSC), formed by Shriram EPC and Strategic Engineering Private Limited is involved in the Design, Manufacture, Supply and Installation of GRP products such as Pipes, Fittings, Tanks and Cylinders.
While Shriram EPC has vast experience in EPC contracts, Strategic Engineering Private Limited, established in the year 1997, has been a leader in the development and manufacture of standard and engineered products made from composite materials.
SSC is the technological leader having the expertise of vastly experienced and qualified composite technologists. SSC has emerged as the lead player, having serviced wide varieties of projects from power plant piping to desalination piping and municipal piping to oil & gas piping.
SSC is currently India’s largest manufacturer of Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastics (GRP) pipes with manufacturing facilities in Chennai, Kolkatta, Faridabad and Vishakapatnam. SSC also has the distinction of having manufactured the largest 3600 mm diameter GRP piping in India for a power plant cooling water application.
In addition, SSC establishes project specific manufacturing facilities on the basis of project economics and logistics. In fact, SSC is the pioneer in the conceptualization and adoption of project-specific manufacturing facilities in order to bring down the transportation cost of large diameter pipes. This scheme is being successfully adopted by SSC for large projects.
SSC, with its firm commitment for 100% quality, has evolved procedures for compliance right from raw material to finished product with its unique “Route Card System”. Besides, the standard ISO 9001:2008, SSC is in compliance of ISO 14001: 2004 and OHSAS 18001: 2007 for ensuring Integrated Total Quality System.
In addition to the supply of GRP piping, SSC provides total engineering including the selection of composite material system for handling different corrosive media, installation and/or installation supervision. Our service covers the entire process of Design, Engineering, Manufacturing, Logistics and Installation.
Besides, circular piping for different applications, SSC has successfully ventured into the design & manufacture of non-circular pipes having “Egg-shape” & “Horse-shoe shape” profiles meant for rehabilitation of underground trunk sewers. SSC has accomplished major projects in this sector for Delhi Jal Board & Kolkata Municipal Corporation since its entry in 2008.
